Fundamentals I: Basic Freeze Dryer Operation and MaintenanceThis program is a survey course covering fundamental lyophilizer operations using terminology and concepts explained in everyday language. The course will begin with an overview of lyophilization. The effects of temperature, pressure, heat transfer, and vapor flow upon the freeze drying process will be explained and related to the operation of the freeze dryer. As the course progresses, each key lyophilizer sub-system will be reviewed in detail as it relates to the control of these critical parameters. Although the design of the course is generic, a participant should expect to receive an overview of Hull freeze dryer operations. The following topics will be covered:
Fundamentals II: Advanced Freeze Dryer Operation and MaintenanceThis program provides an in-depth examination of refrigeration techniques and practice. The format of the program follows our Fundamentals I program except with a heavier emphasis on identifying potential problems and implementing corrective actions.
